Each month, we’re putting a much-deserved spotlight on our Minnesota PGA members who have been honored with a variety of awards. Our profile for this month is:

Mike Tracy

Mike Tracy – 2012 Bill Strausbaugh Award Winner

Mike is currently the Director of Golf at Stillwater Country Club. This was Mike’s first time receiving this award.

What year did you turn professional?

1975

What was your motivation to become a PGA professional?

To be involved with the greatest game ever.

How are you growing the game of golf?

Trying to make my facility a fun and exciting place to be– and it is!

What was your greatest moment in golf?

Being elected president of the Minnesota PGA.

Who has had the greatest impact on your career?

Phil Reith of Woodhill Country Club

Besides golf, what else do you enjoy?

Hunting, fishing, and travel

If you could play any course in the world, which one would it be and who would complete your foursome?

The Old Course at St. Andrews with three good friends who enjoy the experiences and the game.

Accomplishments:

2000 PGA Professional of the Year

2002 Junior Golf Leader of the Year
