Get to know our Minnesota PGA Board Members

Each month, we’re putting a much-deserved spotlight on our Minnesota PGA Section members who serve our Section.  The Minnesota PGA board consists of 12 members including the Executive Officers.

Our profile this month is

Todd Kueppers, General Manager/Head PGA Professional – Chisago Lakes Golf Course

What year did you turn pro?

1993

What was your motivation to become a PGA Professional?

I had nothing better to do. I love the game and wanted to be around it as much as possible.

How are you growing the game of golf?

Bring golf into schools. I teach over 1200 kids in physical education classes every spring.

What was your greatest moment in golf?

Hole-in-one while playing with my eight year old son.

Who has had the greatest impact on your career?

Southwest Section Member Al Murdock. He taught me how to really teach and club fit.

Besides golf, what else do you enjoy?

Baseball, football, hockey, reading, and studying leadership and human behavior.

If you could play any course in the world, which one would it be and who would complete your foursome?

Augusta National with my son, Peter Jacobsen, and Payne Stewart.

The Minnesota Section PGA consists of PGA Professionals who are experts in the game and business of golf. Our mission is to promote the enjoyment and involvement of the game of golf and to contribute to its growth by providing services to golf professionals, the golf industry, people who play golf or would like to start playing golf. PGA Section Offices oversee the 41 geographic regions throughout the United States and provide the grass-roots network for the nation’s 25 million amateur golfers and with the PGA’s 27,000 members.
