Kristi Nelson

Kristi is the President of the Assistant’s Chapter Board of Directors. She is currently at the Golden Valley Golf and Country Club. Kristi received the Assistant Professional of the Year award in 2007.

What year did you become a PGA Professional?

2007

What was your motivation?

Golf has always been a big part of my life and I wanted to make a career out of something I loved to do. I want to grow the game and share my passion with as many people as possible.

How do you believe you are enhancing the game of golf?

My goal is to introduce as many people as I can to the game. Women and junior golfers are the fastest growing group in the game and I try to create programs that appeal to them.

What is your greatest moment in golf?

I have had a lot of great little moments in golf. It would be impossible to pick only one. Playing the game with family and friends is a constant reminder of why I am a Golf Professional.

Who has had the greatest impact on your career?

My Dad has had the biggest impact on my career. He started me in the game at a young age and has been a constant companion throughout my golf career.

When you are not golfing, how do you like to spend your day?

I enjoy spending time with my family, being outdoors, and getting a chance to relax.

If you could play any course in the world, which one and who would you play with?

I would love to play Augusta National with my fiance, Dad, and brother.

Thank you Kristi for all you’ve done for the Minnesota PGA Section over the years.
