The Minnesota Section PGA is proud to announce that ten juniors have been selected to receive a 2014 Valspar Minnesota Section PGA Foundation Junior Golf Scholarship. The scholarship recipients are Jack Buan of Maple Grove, MN, Chris Captain of Rochester, MN, Caitlin Clause of Mankato, MN, Emily Graupmann, of Excelsior, MN, Jack Holmgren of Corcoran, MN, Luke Johanson of Chaska, MN, Lucas McCormick of Edina, MN, Jennifer Mulvey of Woodbury, MN, Erin Pennington of Lake City, MN, and Maree Smith of Monticello, MN.

Starting this fall, the ten will be receiving scholarships of $4,000.00 to apply towards their college tuition over the next four years. The Minnesota PGA Foundation awarded the scholarships on a combination criterion of high school grades, class rank, ACT/SAT, and extracurricular activities.

The scholarships are presented by Valspar, sponsor of the Minnesota Section PGA Junior Golf Association and Minnesota Section PGA Foundation.  Since 1995 the Minnesota Section PGA Foundation has awarded over $230,000 in scholarships.

Congratulations to all the scholarship award winners and best of luck this upcoming school year.
