Minnesota Section PGA Foundation to Award Eight Valspar Scholarships

The Minnesota Section PGA is pleased to announce that eight junior golfers have been chosen to receive the 2015 Valspar Section PGA Foundation Junior Golf Scholarship. This award is given to those who display excellence and exceed expectation in the criterion of high school grades, class rank, ACT/SAT, and extracurricular activities. The recipients of the 2015 Valspar Scholarship include: Caroline Andrews of Ham Lake, MN, Nate Bormann of Perham, MN, Elle Carlson of Sioux Falls, SD, Thomas Clark of Edina, MN, Will Holmgren of Corcoran, MN, Matthew Kratz of Apple Valley, MN, Samantha Lee of Plymouth, MN, and Maxwell Redetzke of Lakeville, MN.

Beginning in the fall, these eight junior golfers will be receiving scholarships of $4,000.00 to apply towards their college tuition over the course of the next four years. The scholarships are presented by Valspar, the official sponsor of Minnesota Section PGA Junior Golf and Minnesota Section PGA Foundation. Since 1995, the Minnesota Section PGA Foundation has awarded over $300,000 in scholarship funds.

The Minnesota Section PGA consists of PGA Professionals who are experts in the game and business of golf.
