Trade-in Clubs to Give Back for a Good Cause and Play Better!

June 17, 2015

Most golfers have begun to understand the cost-effective benefits of trading in their used clubs as a means to upgrade and improve their equipment. With that being said, a special partnership has been created between the PGA Trade-in Network and PGA Reach. This new agreement in the month of June will allow golfers to improve their equipment and hopefully scores, but more importantly generate funding that will be used to support programming for Youth, Military and Diversity in golf.

The PGA Trade-in Network will donate $1 for every set of clubs traded in for the month of June, both online and in-person for more than 5,000 PGA-staffed pro shops nationwide. This fund will be donated in order to benefit PGA REACH, the charitable foundation of the PGA of America dedicated to positively impacting the lives of veterans, youth and diverse populations through the game of golf.

“We are pleased to be able to help golfers tap the value of their trade-ins to not only improve their own game but also the lives of others who benefit from the work of PGA REACH,” said Doug Smith, Vice President of Marketing for PGA Trade-in Network. PGA professionals and pro shops are excited and ready for the opportunity to benefit a great cause while improving the game for those who are passionate about golf.
PGA REACH Senior Director Scott Kmiec emphasized, “golfers receive the full trade-in value of their used clubs towards new equipment that will increase their enjoyment of the game; and PGA REACH receives a contribution from the PGA Trade-In Network for every used club they receive. We hope golfers in mass will look to trade up in June, as it will not only benefit their own game, but also support the dynamic programming associated with PGA REACH.”
