Golf Background:

Nathan moved to the Brainerd Lakes area in junior high school after living in the Twin Cities for several years. After high school, he attended and graduated from St. Cloud State before moving to Arizona where he began his work in the golf business. Nathan has been at The Preserve at Grand View Lodge for almost six years now, but prior to that, he was at The Pines at Grand View Lodge for nearly five years.

When and why did you decide to become a PGA Professional?

“I made the decision in college while working at the Stardome in St. Cloud that this is what I wanted to pursue, and I got a job at TPC Scottsdale in Arizona after school. I passed my Playing Ability Test at The Meadows in Moorhead, MN and the rest is history.”

What does winning this award mean to you and your facility?

“After going to the award ceremony last year, it means a lot. I wanted to make sure The Preserve was in the spotlight as far as media coverage and in the community because of the renovations. Everyone has been pleased with how the renovations turned out and the success of the facility since it has opened.”
